Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in California to assist with standard engineering tasks, design updates, and support across market segments. You will work with lead engineers on transmission and distribution projects, perform data analysis, and prepare presentations.

A 3.0 GPA and proof of legal work authorization in the United States are preferred. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to contribute to project

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers with design tasks and project duties.
• Perform data entry, documentation and presentation support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to project concerns and resolve issues as directed.
• Support ad hoc projects assigned by managers.
