Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Southfield, MI to assist with standard engineering tasks, design updates, and project support across market segments.

You'll work under lead engineers, handle data entry, documentation, and presentations, and participate in continuous improvement efforts. A minimum 3.0 GPA and active campus involvement are preferred; eligibility to work permanently is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to project concerns and research problems.
• Support lead engineers and assign project duties as needed.
