Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Houston, TX. You will assist lead engineers with design tasks, data entry, presentations and project support across market groups including Power, Oil & Gas, and Transmission & Distribution.

The internship emphasizes ABET-accredited programs, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and strong communication and analytical skills. On-site work with opportunities for growth and mentorship within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and involvement on campus/community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
