Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Lexington, KY, to support standard engineering tasks, assist lead engineers, and contribute to various project duties. The role covers Transmission & Distribution design, data entry, documentation, and presentation preparation as part of a dynamic team.

The position requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with ABET accreditation strongly preferred and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or consulting exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry and documentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research and recommend solutions to project problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
