Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern for tasks applying standard engineering techniques across Transmission & Distribution projects. You will assist with filing, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations while supporting lead engineers on various duties in Akron and Columbus markets.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, with ABET accreditation preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
