Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks a patient registration associate to greet and check in patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and discuss co-pays. You will ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry in the EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through test preparations and arrival instructions, coordinating with Financial Advocates when needed, and maintaining excellent customer service in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy practices.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and eligibility tools.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and online communications.

Responsabilités

• Register and check in patients; collect demographics, insurance and co-pay information.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Explain insurance responsibilities and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and other regulations.
• Provide clear test preparation and arrival information to patients.
• Deliver welcoming, professional service and assist with transportation or interpreters as needed.
• Monitor patient registration work queues and follow approved processes.
