Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR and patient liability estimation tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record foundational to the patient record. Ensures patient safety and avoids duplicates.
• Registers patients, collects demographics, insurance info, and explains co-pays and responsibilities.
• Discusses financial obligations with patients and refers to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Complies with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements and obtains signatures when required.
• Schedules and coordinates appointments, reminders, and test preparations; provides directions and assistance to patients.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers calls, screens inquiries, and assists with transportation or interpreter needs.
• Monitors and manages EHR work queues per department procedures.
