Job summary

Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, seeks a full-time IT Support Specialist to provide front-line support for technology across campus. You will assist faculty, staff, and students with hardware, software, network connectivity, and multimedia equipment in classrooms, labs, and conference rooms.

The role includes identifying and resolving issues, deploying images, configuring Intune for labs, and maintaining AV setups. A 3-year support background and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree information systems, media or educational technology, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in front-line technical support setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware and software and multimedia presentation and conferencing technologies in an educational environment, and/or any combination of education, training and experience.
• Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require an employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical on-site and/or remote support for on-premises and cloud-based technology, network connectivity, and lab/server maintenance.
• Deploy computer images and Intune configuration for academic labs and classrooms.
• Install and uninstall software and manage user data to meet instructional and technical needs.
• Set up and maintain instructor workstations, projection, audio, video, and lighting systems.
• Respond to service desk tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues and warranties.
