Job summary

Montgomery County Recreation seeks an Information Technology Specialist I to support 39 facilities, configuring and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and mobile devices. The role provides remote and on-site Tier 2 support, and ensures applications, accounts, and security groups are maintained efficiently.

The ideal candidate will research and implement solutions, document configurations, and help keep equipment secure and ready for use across all sites; strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience providing end-user IT support and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory Administration and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and smartphones.
• Provide remote and on-site Tier 2+ technical support to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain IT inventory, manage user accounts and security groups, servers, networks, and telecom systems.
• Document system configurations, updates, modifications, and software releases.
• Apply IT security practices to protect information systems and access control.
• Assist with developing backup and recovery procedures.
