Job summary

Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, is seeking a FT IT Support Specialist in the Office of Information Technology. The role provides front-line user support for college-wide technology, multimedia systems, and network services across faculty, staff, and students.

The position requires a 5 days/40 hours weekly schedule and non-exempt status. Responsibilities include on-site and remote support, AV/room tech setup, and incident management through the IT Service Desk.

Qualifications

• Front-line technical support in educational settings.
• Experience with multimedia equipment and conferencing technologies.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for PCs, mobile devices, OS, apps, and network connectivity.
• Deploy images and configurations for academic labs and classrooms.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware in instructional spaces.
• Set up and maintain AV systems including projection, audio, video, and lighting.
• Respond to and close IT service desk tickets and work orders.
