Montgomery County Recreation seeks an IT Specialist I to support daily technology operations across 39 facilities. You will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and smartphones, providing remote and on-site Tier 2 support.

The role emphasizes IT security, inventory management, user accounts, and documenting procedures to ensure reliable, secure, and ready-to-use technology for staff and programs countywide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 1 year IT experience in IT field
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and endpoint devices.
• Provide Tier 2+ remote and on-site support to resolve issues.
• Maintain IT inventory, manage user accounts and security groups.
• Develop and document backup, recovery procedures and IT processes.
• Deliver proactive, customer-focused IT service across 39 facilities.
