Job summary

Cengage is seeking a sales-oriented professional to engage potential buyers for digital and print products in a defined territory. You will drive new business, forecast activity, and present solutions to educators and institutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years in teaching or education sales, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Base pay is complemented by a sales incentive program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; minimum 2 years in teaching and education sales preferred.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; lifting 50 lbs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
