Job summary

Cengage, a global edtech company, is seeking a results-driven sales professional to grow our digital and print product footprint across the United States. You will engage prospective customers, present solutions, and work to meet annual sales goals within a dynamic, learning-focused culture.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with two years of teaching or education sales experience, strong communication, territory management, and CRM/MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of teaching, and education sales preferred in publishing.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal partners.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and MS Office; ability to transport materials to customer locations (lift 50 lbs). Preferred: sales experience with digital information delivery, education, or IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
