Job summary

Wiley - John Wiley & Sons is seeking an Editorial Client Managerto lead a client group within Editorial and Peer Review Services. You will serve as a primary contact for clients and staff, overseeing day-to-day editorial operations, staffing needs, and process improvements to ensure top-tier client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes experience in managing editors, client projects, and delivering high-quality service, with travel to client meetings and conferences as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Prior experience as a Managing Editor, Senior Managing Editor, or similar role.
• Experience managing client projects and teams with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries about day-to-day editorial services management.
• Monitor workload distribution within client groups and coordinate with Senior Manager on coverage and staffing needs.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks and overall client satisfaction.
• Identify and address problems affecting tasks or staff to maintain client satisfaction.
• Train staff on current protocols, systems, and best practices for assigned client groups.
• Improve internal processes and best practices for the client group.
• Contribute to performance reviews and monitor productivity and workload.
• Enforce Wiley policies and provide guidance on policy questions.
• Travel to client meetings and industry conferences as needed.
