Job summary

Wiley in Charlotte, NC seeks an Editorial Client Manager to lead a client group within Editorial and Peer Review Services and act as the main contact for the client and the team. You will oversee day-to-day editorial tasks, optimize workflows, and ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating workloads, training staff, and driving process improvements while maintaining high professional standards and engaging with clients and colleagues across Wiley. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Experience as Managing Editor/Senior Managing Editor or similar.
• Experience managing client projects.
• Proficiency with at least one major online peer review system.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience leading teams and collaborating across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for client queries on day-to-day editorial services.
• Monitor workload and plan coverage and capacity for the client group.
• Ensure day-to-day task completion and client satisfaction.
• Address problems with tasks or staff to protect client satisfaction.
• Train staff on current protocols, systems, and best practices.
• Improve internal processes and best practices for the client group.
• Contribute to performance reviews for reports.
• Understand team member skills and ambitions.
• Monitor productivity and workloads.
• Answer questions about Wiley policies and enforce them.
• Maintain professional standards and minimize non-work distractions.
• Travel to client meetings and industry conferences as needed.
