Job summary

CGS, operating as Contact Government Services, seeks an eDiscovery Technician to support a federal agency's legal team. You will manage eDiscovery workloads, validate documents for Relativity, and coordinate secure handling of evidenced data.

Qualifications

Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
Bachelor’s degree. Three years of additional, directly relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
Knowledge of information resources.
Excellent analytical capabilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in duties & responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Log production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
Digest long cover letters and describe the production succinctly.
Call producing party to obtain passwords for encrypted media when needed.
Determine if cover letters contain substantive information for loading into Relativity.
Virus scan the production off-network using multiple protection tools.
Follow protocol to address issues or reject the production.
Copy the cleaned production to the Agency's network.
Handle documents per protocol (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, International, BSA, audio files, laptops, paper).
Analyze productions to determine required processing and protocol.
Verify data completeness and load-readiness; communicate issues to Litigation Support Specialist.
Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP.
Scan and OCR paper documents as needed for Relativity loading.
Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
