Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to join the legal team supporting a large federal agency. The role emphasizes processing, reviewing, virus scanning, loading into Relativity, and ensuring productions are load-ready for secure handling.

You will monitor deliveries, coordinate with the Litigation Support Specialist, and ensure compliance with protocols for whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, and other sensitive documents while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional, directly relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
Knowledge of information resources; excellent analytical capabilities; excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in the Duties & Responsibilities above.
U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
Digest the cover letter and provide a brief production description.
Call producing party for encrypted productions to obtain passwords if needed.
Determine if cover letters contain substantive information for loading into Relativity.
Virus scan the production off-network with multiple antivirus tools.
Address issues or reject production per protocol when problems are detected.
Copy clean production to the Agency's network.
Handle documents per protocols (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops, paper).
Analyze productions to determine processing type and protocol to follow.
Analyze data for completeness; communicate issues to Litigation Support Specialist if load is incomplete.
Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP.
Scan and OCR small paper documents for Relativity loading.
Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
