Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an eDiscovery Technician to support the Legal department of a large Federal agency. The role involves eDiscovery tracking, document processing, virus scanning, and protocol-based handling of sensitive materials.

You may coordinate scanning, load-ready checks, and communications with the Litigation Support Specialist. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with three years of related eDiscovery experience, knowledge of government workflows, and

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; additional related work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as described in duties.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest the cover letter and provide a brief production description.
• If encrypted and no password, contact producing party for password.
• Determine if cover letter contains info for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan the production off-network with multiple protections.
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject production.
• Copy clean production to the Agency's network.
• Handle documents per protocol (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, etc.).
• Analyze productions to determine processing requirements and completeness.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP.
• Scan/OCR paper documents for Relativity loading.
• Coordinate off-site scanning of multi-box paper productions.
