Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience; computer systems experience including MS Office.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-task environment; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for visits and explain the process to patients.
• Process co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances; safeguard payments.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires and adjust coverage.
• Obtain signatures on consent and financial forms; scan and file documents.
• Coordinate scheduling using multiple information sources and maintain updates.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information; ensure smooth registration flow.
• Identify issues that affect scheduling efficiency and communicate to management.
• Pre-register patients by verifying insurance and guarantor information.
