Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department. This full-time day shift works every other weekend, handling registration, scheduling, and pre-registration tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will collect co-pays, assist with Kiosk check-in, verify insurance, and provide accurate information to patients while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years related work experience.
• Skills/Abilities: Fast-paced environment, independent decision-making, accurate data processing.

Responsabilités

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguards cash and reconciles end of day.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage.
• Obtains signatures on forms; scans and records documents collected during registration.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; ensures patient confidentiality.
