Job summary

NFI is seeking a Warehouse Operations Clerk to ensure shipping documents are accurate and timely. This role reports to the Operations Supervisor or Manager and involves carrier communications, data entry, and coordination of outbound shipments.

Responsibilities include preparing bills of lading, maintaining records, and assisting with material handling tasks as needed. The position requires ability to work irregular hours, stand long shifts, and lift up to 100 pounds where required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with Manhattan Warehouse Management System preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Communicates via email with outbound carriers daily, providing schedules for outbound shipments.
• Communicates with site personnel to ensure operations meet requirements.
• Receive all drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
• Use a warehouse management system to open/close shipments and prepare bills of lading for outbound freight.
• Ensure drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain accuracy of shipping documents per SOPs.
• Enter and maintain data in the warehouse management system.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Support Material Handling duties such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, or loading.
• Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate with spotters on moves.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed by leadership.
• File outbound paperwork for easy access.
• Maintain seal log and load board accuracy.
