Job summary

Key duties include communicating with carriers, preparing bills of lading in the WMS, maintaining records, and supporting material handling. The role requires endurance, attention to detail, and readiness for irregular hours, including nights or weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with Manhattan Warehouse Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and work under pressure.
• Good visual acuity and dexterity for data input.
• Ability to input data daily inventory reports.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift 50–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicates via email with outbound carriers daily, providing schedules for outbound shipments and equipment needs.
• Receives drivers and directs outbound shipments.
• Open/close shipments in the WMS and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
• Ensure drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain the accuracy of shipping documents per SOP.
• Enter and maintain shipping data in the WMS.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in Material Handling duties (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, loading).
• Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate with spotters on moves.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed by leadership.
• File outbound paperwork for easy access.
• Maintain seal log and load board.
