Job summary

Velvet Taco in Chicago is hiring a team member focused on delivering an outstanding guest experience across all shifts. You will help manage hourly staff and maintain a welcoming, efficient dining room.

You will execute opening, mid, and closing duties, handle cash and POS, and address guest concerns with calm, professional problem-solving. Maintain food safety standards and support inventory and prep as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.
• Experience in fast-paced hospitality environments.
• Willingness to learn Velvet Taco procedures and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist Guests professionally.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties.
• Resolve guest concerns positively and promptly.
• Handle cash, POS setup, comps and deposits.
• Lead team, motivate adherence to procedures and guest experience.
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain a calm dining room.
• Assist with inventory and prep duties as needed.
• Maintain food safety and restaurant cleanliness.
