Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, employing evidence-based care and education for patients and families. This role includes opportunities for sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include following the PT plan of care, documenting thoroughly, and coordinating with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed PTA (state license as specified).
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Board eligibility and completion of board exam when date available.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with physician communication.
• Documents per Clinical Documentation Policy and daily notes.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program (if applicable).
• Follows treatment plan, provides therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy where appropriate.
• Completes daily documentation and EMR charging; coordinates with PT on treatments.
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
