Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients across all ages, working under a PT plan of care. The role includes educating patients and families, documenting progress, and coordinating with supervising therapists.

This position offers a sign-on bonus for new grads and for those with 1+ years of experience, plus relocation assistance if moving 50+ miles. A strong focus on stroke care and ongoing education is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education level: Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy; Field of Study: Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed PTA; BLS within 30 days.
• Board eligibility and completion of board exam as required; continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follow and adjust plan of care after communicating with evaluating therapist.
• Document daily notes and procedures per policy; maintain clinical documentation.
• Complete treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound; electrical stimulation; aquatic therapy as applicable.
• Coordinate with PT on patient treatment; communicate progress to referring provider.
