Qualifications

• Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follow the plan of care and adjust treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produce documentation according to policy and daily notes.
• Maintain licensure and complete required continuing education for hip/knee replacement programs.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers.
• Follows therapist's plan, adjusts treatment after communication with evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per policy and in daily notes.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements.
• Provides therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound and aquatic therapy.
• Administers electrical stimulation and documents in EMR.
• Coordinates with PT and communicates progress to referring provider.
