Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. The role includes educating patients and families, following the PT plan of care, and documenting daily progress.

It requires PTA licensure, BLS, and involvement in diverse modalities including gait training and aquatic therapy. We offer a sign-on bonus for new grads and experienced candidates, plus relocation assistance for moving 50+ miles.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed PTA in good standing; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Experience or training in acute stroke care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using clear teaching methods.
• Follows the PT plan of care and documents communication with the evaluator.
• Performs treatments: exercise, gait/balance, ultrasound, electrical stimulation.
• Handles aquatic therapy and daily EMR documentation and charges.
• Liaises with PT and referring providers on patient progress.
