Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a clinical setting. You will educate families, follow approved plans of care, and document progress in the EMR.

The role includes aquatic therapy, electrotherapy, and collaboration with the supervising therapist to adjust treatment as needed. New grads may qualify for a $1,500 sign-on bonus, while candidates with 1+ years of experience may receive $2,500.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance (PTA)
• Licensed PTA (IL) per IDFPR requirements
• BLS certification within 30 days - AHA
• Board eligibility and ongoing CE for stroke care

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follow and adjust care plans with supervising therapist input.
• Document daily notes per policy and billing.
• Provide aquatic therapy and electrotherapy as prescribed.
• Communicate with referring providers about progress.
