Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement therapy plans and educate patients, families, and staff. The PTA will follow the plan of care under supervision, document progress, and adjust treatments based on patient response and evidence.

The role includes delivering therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy, with daily EMR documentation and coordination with the PT.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing with IDFPR (Illinois).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Board eligible; must pass board exam on next available date and complete required CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care; adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Documents daily notes in accordance with CTSCP67 and program requirements.
• Performs physical therapy interventions: therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
• Completes daily documentation and coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions.
