Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement patient care plans under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will educate patients and caregivers, document treatment, and support a range of modalities including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, Wisconsin/Illinois?

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and available evidence after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• If applicable, completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
• Completes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR; coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring provider.
