Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plans of care and support patients of all ages. The role serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students within Carle Health’s rehabilitation services.

You will educate patients and families, follow the PT plan, and document care in the EMR. The position emphasizes collaboration with therapists, ongoing education, and adherence to DNV program requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires PTA licensure or eligibility and BLS certification.
• Licensed PTA in good standing with state board or eligibility.
• Board exam eligibility and willingness to complete CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and available evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Completes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR and adheres to policy CTSCP67.
