Job summary

Requirements include an Associate's Degree as PTA, IDFPR license, BLS, and board exam eligibility.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) required.
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Board eligible/required to complete board exam.
• Attend continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows plan of care and documents communication in daily notes.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual DNV program education if applicable.
• Provides therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation treatment.
• Provides aquatic therapy when feasible.
• Records daily documentation and charging in EMR.
• Coordinates with PT on treatment interventions and progress.
