Job summary

Cooper’s Hawk Winery is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-volume, full-service restaurant with a scratch kitchen, tasting room, and Wine Club program. You’ll develop managers and hourly teams, partnering with the General Manager to achieve restaurant goals and grow the Wine Club community.

You will oversee service and tasting room operations, hire and onboard staff, coach leaders, and model Cooper’s Hawk values while driving hospitality and financial performance.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leaders through feedback and performance management.
• Adaptability and the ability to lead teams through change.
• Excellent communication and relationship building to deliver Uncompromising Hospitality.
• Strong business acumen with ability to drive restaurant targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall restaurant operations including Service and Tasting Room.
• Participate in hourly Team Member hiring and onboarding with training support.
• Foster growth by creating opportunities for learning, development, and progression.
• Train Managers in Development, Lead Restaurant Trainers, and new Team Members.
• Develop and support Restaurant and Kitchen Managers through coaching and mentorship.
• Communicate with clarity, actively listen, and build strong relationships across the team.
• Lead all Management and Hourly Team Members as a role model of Cooper's Hawk Values and behaviors.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Drive financial and operational results through planning and data-driven decisions.
• Review and approve front-of-house schedules in a timely manner.
