Job summary

Cooper’s Hawk is seeking an Assistant General Manager in the Annapolis area to lead a high-volume, full-service restaurant with a scratch kitchen, tasting room, and Wine Club program.

You will mentor management and hourly teams, drive exceptional shift execution, and partner with the General Manager to achieve restaurant goals and grow our Wine Club community. This role emphasizes leadership, guest experience, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leaders through feedback and performance management.
• Adaptability and the ability to lead teams through change.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with a passion for delivering Uncompromising Hospitality and developing high-performing teams
• Is results-driven; able to coach team to hit restaurant targets with a strong business acumen and financial decision-making skills
• Ability to read, understand and communicate in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall restaurant operations and departments to include Service and Tasting Room
• Participate in hourly Team Member hiring and onboarding; ensure Team Members have tools, support and training needed to succeed
• Foster a growth mindset by creating opportunities for learning, development, and career progression
• Oversee training for Managers in Development, Lead Restaurant Trainers, and new Team Members
• Develop and support Restaurant and Kitchen Managers through coaching and mentorship
• Communicate with clarity, actively listen, and build strong relationships across the team
• Lead with self-awareness by modeling accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
• Lead all Management and Hourly Team Members as a role model of Cooper's Hawk Values and behaviors
