Job summary

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants is hiring an Assistant General Manager to oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including service and tasting room, while partnering with the GM to reach targets. You’ll lead training, scheduling, and development of managers and hourly staff, ensuring food quality, guest service, and a thriving Wine Club community.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Demonstrates financial acumen to drive results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• ServSafe certification preferred; state/local licensing may apply.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand 10+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall restaurant operations and complex departments including Service and Tasting Room.
• Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations.
• Represent company values and maintain a respectful, positive work environment.
• Manage people: hire hourly staff, train and verify understanding, adjust schedules, develop other managers.
• Oversee training for Managers in Development, Lead Restaurant Trainers and new team members.
• Focus on service and food standards; assist with weekly inventory procedures.
• Maximize financial and operational results; conduct weekly financial reporting and audits.
• Build and maintain Wine Club Community; train FOH to educate guests and invite them to join.
• Operate POS, scheduler, inventory/ordering software and Microsoft Office.
• Maintain safe, healthy work environment and food safety.
