Job summary

Werner Enterprises Inc. is seeking a professional to build and maintain driver relationships, addressing home time, payroll and equipment issues. You will coordinate with logistics managers to optimize loads and interface with billing, safety and operations to support service goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2–3 years of fleet management experience, plus 6–12 months of supervisory experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics) and/or two to three years of fleet management or transportation experience in the truckload industry preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships by understanding driver needs (home time, payroll, equipment issues, etc.).
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads by origin, destination, freight type, miles and stops.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Maintain timely attendance according to the scheduled shift.
