Job summary

HDR is seeking a visionary Drinking Water Market Sector Leader to shape the future of water infrastructure across PA-OH-WV-DE and beyond. You will guide multi-discipline projects, expand HDR’s presence, grow client partnerships, and drive sustainable outcomes for communities.

You will mentor staff, advance innovation, and participate in industry forums, with a compensation range reflecting market and location. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience managing diverse client relationships and pursuits.
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and growth.
• Visible participation in industry associations and market presence.
• Ability to work with regional and area leadership teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and ESOP culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead client development and advise key regional clients.
• Identify strategic growth opportunities across municipal and private water markets.
• Coordinate staffing plans with Water Group leadership and hires.
• Develop and implement Water Group-wide initiatives.
• Support talent management and recruiting activities.
• Promote drinking water initiatives across the PA-OH-WV-DE area.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and conferences.
• Lead and oversee complex multi-discipline water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with HDR groups to expand services and capabilities.
