Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Leader to shape the future of water infrastructure in the PA-OH-WV-DE Area and beyond. This strategic leader will protect public health, advance sustainable solutions, and drive growth across the drinking water market.

In this role you will mentor staff, lead key client relationships, and collaborate across HDR’s national network to deliver multi-discipline projects that improve resiliency and quality of life for communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
• Experience managing client relationships and program/pursuit leadership.
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and professional growth.
• Active involvement with industry associations and a visible market profile.
• Ability to work with HDR Regional Directors and leadership across regions.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead client development efforts and serve as trusted advisor to regional clients.
• Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities across municipal and private water markets.
• Coordinate staffing and recruiting plans with leadership for key hires.
• Develop and implement Water Business Group initiatives.
• Identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting.
• Develop and implement Drinking Water initiatives in the PA-OH-WV-DE area.
• Represent HDR in industry associations and at conferences.
• Oversee complex, multi-discipline water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate across HDR groups to expand services and capabilities.
• Provide scope of work reviews, fee estimates, risk assessments, and schedules.
