Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Leader to shape the future of water infrastructure across the PA-OH-WV-DE region and beyond. You will guide complex, multi-disciplinary projects, drive market growth, and mentor a diverse team of professionals within HDR’s national network.

You will lead client development, identify growth opportunities, and align staffing with strategic goals, serving as a trusted advisor to key clients and partners while advancing HDR’s leadership in water

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience building and managing wide client relationships and pursuits.
• Experience staff development including recruiting and career growth.
• Active involvement with industry associations and a visible market profile.

Responsibilities

• Lead client development efforts and act as trusted advisor to regional clients.
• Identify and pursue strategic growth across municipal and private water markets.
• Coordinate staffing and recruiting plans with Water Business Group leadership.
• Develop and implement Water Business Group-wide initiatives.
• Identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting.
• Develop and implement Drinking Water initiatives for PA-OH-WV-DE area.
• Participate in industry associations and represent HDR in communities and conferences.
• Submit abstracts and present on topics of strategic importance at conferences.
• Build relationships with industry partners and other consultancies.
• Support marketing planning, proposals and interviews for Drinking Water projects.
• Serve as Client Manager for selected key clients.
• Direct and oversee complex, multi-discipline water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate across HDR groups to expand services and capabilities.
• Review scopes of work, fee estimates, risks, and schedules.
