Job summary

CSL is seeking staff to greet donors at the plasma collection center and guide them through registration and screening procedures. You will verify donor suitability and perform health checks as part of the donation process.

Role involves documenting data in the donor information system, answering questions, and maintaining safety and confidentiality. Training may lead to education duties and cross-training in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and guide them through registration procedures.
• Assist donors in the screening process, including health history and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma after training.
• Register applicant and transfer donors as needed after training and center needs.
• Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff when required.
• Monitor donor flow and alert supervisor of any issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
