Job summary

CSL plasma center is hiring for a front-line donor services role. You will greet donors, verify eligibility for pheresis, and guide them through the screening process per SOPs. After training, you may educate donors about therapies derived from plasma, center policies, and appointment systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for pheresis.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs and perform health screening procedures.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products from donated plasma after training; explain screening tests, policies and center procedures.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training.
• Answer incoming calls or transfer to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
