Job summary

CSL is seeking a Donor Center Assistant in Brewer, ME to greet donors and guide them through registration and screening for plasma pheresis. You will assist with health history, basic medical questions, and health screenings while ensuring accuracy and donor safety in a fast-paced center environment.

Under supervision, you will learn to educate donors on the screening process, appointment system, policies, nutrition, and any information related to donor participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three months experience in clerical or customer service role, preferably in healthcare.
• Basic math calculations needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and guide them through registration and screening per SOPs.
• Explain the screening process, health tests performed, appointment system, center policies, and nutrition.
• Register and transfer donors as trained to meet center needs.
• Answer phone calls or route inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and inform staff as needed.
• Notify supervisor of donor flow issues to maintain operations.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information system as required.
• Understand policies related to hyperimmune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies and forms are readily available.
• Follow Health, Safety & Environmental and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
