Job summary

CSL in Brewer, ME seeks a Donor Screening Assistant to greet donors and guide them through the screening process for plasma donation. You will verify health history, perform basic measurements, and record data in the donor system.

After training, you may educate donors on the donation process, safety policies, and center procedures. Strong customer service and attention to detail are essential, with possible overtime to support center needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis
• Assist donors in completing the screening process in compliance with SOPs
• Educate new donors on the screening process, health screening tests, and center policies after training
• Register applicant and transfer donors as needed after training
• Answer telephone calls or direct to appropriate staff
• Monitor donor activity for adverse reactions and notify staff
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet center needs
• Bilingual skills may be required, at organization discretion
