Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
• Assist qualified donors in screening procedures per SOPs, including health history, questions, and basic vitals (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels for donor screening.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products from donated plasma and center policies as trained.
• Register and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor well-being during and after pheresis and alert staff to any concerns.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure supplies are available; comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Possibly cross-train in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
