Job summary

CSL in Tampa seeks a Donor Center Technician to greet donors and register them for plasma pheresis, ensuring donor suitability. The role follows SOPs, conducts health screenings, and records data in the donor information system. Training may lead to donor education on plasma-derived products.

The position supports donor care, answers inquiries, and helps maintain a safe, compliant center with potential bilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process in compliance with SOPs, including health history review, medical questions, referrals to medical staff, and basic health screenings (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger sticks to obtain samples for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma after training.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Answer phones and route calls to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
