Donor Screening & Intake Technician

Job summary

CSL is looking for an entry-level donor screener at our Tampa plasma collection center. You will greet donors, guide them through screening, and ensure data is accurately recorded in the donor information system.

Responsibilities include measuring basic health indicators, answering donor questions, and maintaining confidentiality while following SOPs and safety protocols. Training provided for SOPs and health screening tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process following SOPs.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors about the donation process, screening tests, appointment system, policies, nutrition and center information.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet center needs and answer callers/transfer calls as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information and adhere to safety policies.
