Job summary

CSL is seeking an on-site Donor Center Associate in Houston to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through the screening process for plasma pheresis. You will perform health screenings, document donor data, and assist with donor education and center operations.

The role involves registering applicants, answering calls, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and adhering to SOPs and safety policies. Some cross-training and bilingual ability may be required depending on needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history assessment, basic medical questions, and referrals to medical staff as needed; perform health screenings like blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature; perform finger sticks for hematocrit and total protein.
• Educate donors on the use of products from donated plasma after training, including screening tests, appointment system, center policies, nutrition and other donor information; answer donor questions accurately and professionally.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed after training and per center needs.
• Answer phones or transfer calls to appropriate staff; maintain donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as needed; notify supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintain clean work environment and ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed; bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
