Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Donor Center Associate to greet donors and guide them through registration and screening for plasma collection. You will perform health history review, basic health checks, and sample collection for hematocrit/protein testing.

Responsibilities include educating donors, answering questions, recording data accurately, and ensuring safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced setting. Some bilingual ability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for pheresis.
• Assist with screening procedures including health history, questions, and basic measurements (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger sticks to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels as part of screening.
• Educate donors on therapeutic products, screening, tests, appointment system, policies, nutrition, and center information.
• Register and transfer donors as trained, and answer donor inquiries or route to staff.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and alert staff as needed.
• Notify supervisor of donor flow issues and maintain accurate donor data in the information system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies, keep a clean work environment, and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and the role may require bilingual abilities.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
