Job summary

CSL in Rapid City, SD seeks a donor center associate to greet donors, guide registration and verify eligibility for plasma pheresis. You will follow SOPs to assist with screening, health history review, basic medical questions and referrals to staff.

You will perform health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight and temperature, and a finger-stick test for hematocrit and total protein. You may educate donors about products and policies while ensuring confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months experience in a clerical or customer service role.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and conduct registration to verify donor suitability.
• Assist screened donors per SOPs: health history, medical questions, refer to staff, perform health screening tests (BP, pulse, weight, temperature).
• Perform finger-stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on therapeutic products, screening, appointment system, fees, policies, nutrition and related information.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as trained.
• Answer phones and route inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor donor for reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs if applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and maintain supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
