Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee seeks a Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate to support donated goods operations and deliver an exceptional donor experience. You will safely receive, handle, and move donated merchandise, assist donors, manage backroom flow, and help with trailer loading in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate forklifts/pallet jacks as trained, maintain safe work areas, and adapt to evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, donation intake, production, warehouse, or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to balance donor interactions with operational and backroom responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and move donated goods safely.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide excellent service to ensure a positive donation experience.
• Receive donated goods in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Load, unload, and stage donated goods and manage backroom flow.
• Operate material handling equipment as trained.
• Maintain clean, safe backroom areas and follow safety procedures.
• Support donor engagement and store replenishment needs.
